Amal Moorad, M.D. And Sharon Smeltzer - May 22, 2009
Dr. Amal Moorad has been on the medical staff at INTEGRIS Southwest Medical
Center since 1978 where he has treated and touched the lives of patients in
our community, state and nation. As the founding Medical Director of
INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital in 1984, Dr. Moorad has grown
Jim Thorpe Rehab into a 103 bed premier rehabilitation facility.

Sharon Smeltzer joined the INTEGRIS Health family in November 1997 as
Director of Inpatient Services to expand services to the INTEGRIS Baptist
Medical Center. She has served in various leadership roles with Jim Thorpe
Rehabilitation Hospital, and in June 2007, she was promoted to the position
of Vice president, INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Services.

Together, Dr. Moorad and Sharon continue to grow and expand the services of
INTEGRIS Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Hospital to include Lawton, Oklahoma and
most recently Nigeria, Africa. They took a team of medical professionals to
Nigeria to help patients who had a variety of illnesses that included
leprosy and HIV. Dr. Moorad told us they help people locally, nationally and
globally. We are all neighbors on this earth.
